We have nine comfortable bedrooms. Each is ensuite and is equipped with a television, desk, wardrobe, and tea and coffee-making facilities (ironing boards, hairdryers and desk fans are also available on request).

Our bedrooms are currently closed until 2025.

We are pet-friendly and your furry friends are more than welcome. A fee of £10 per booking applies.

  • We have four ensuite double rooms, each with different views and aspects. Three are a standard size and one is smaller and available to book separately.
    From £65/night (small double)

  • One of our largest rooms, south-facing with views of the village square and the mountains beyond.

    It can be set up as a twin or as a large double room.

  • We have two rooms suitable for families.

    Room n°1 sleeps three, with a double bed and a single bed, and has a large bay window with views of the garden and mountains. The room has a sofa for lounging by the window.

    Room n°5 sleeps four people in a double bed and a set of bunk beds, and has views of the village square and mountains beyond. It is south-facing and has a small sitting area with table and two chairs.

  • We have two ensuite single rooms, each equipped with a desk, wardrobe and a TV.

Please note: All of our bedrooms are located on the first floor and there is no lift access. All bathrooms have showers rather than baths. Some showers have step-free access, enquire before booking if required. Some rooms are above the bar area, let us know in advance if you require a quiet room.   • Check in is generally available between 3pm and 10pm.

    We may be able to accept an earlier or later check in time by prior arrangement.

    Check out time is 10:00am.

    If the room is not vacated by this time, the customer may be subject to another night charge. We may be able to hold luggage until 13:00 on the date of departure by arrangement.

  • We are a pet-friendly establishment, and well behaved cats & dogs are more than welcome.

    There is a £10 pet fee to cover the cost of the additional and necessary cleaning in preparation for our next guest. When booking your room, please use the “pet fee” add-on.

    Dogs are allowed in all communal areas except the dining room. Pets are not permitted on the beds or furniture. We reserve the right to make charges for any damages.

  • Standard Rate: Bookings can be cancelled up to 2 days before the day of check in free of charge. Bookings cancelled less than 2 days before the day of check in will incur a charge of 100% of the cost of the first night. For reservations with multiple rooms this applies to each room. Please also note all cancellations or modifications must be made in writing by email. Cancellations over the phone will not be accepted.

    Non-Refundable Rate: The total price of the reservation will be charged right away after booking and is non-refundable.

  • Rates
    Rates given are per room per night and include a continental breakfast buffet (toast, cereal, fruit, drinks) and VAT.
    Rates are subject to change.
    Bookings must include at least one guest over 18 years of age.

    Payments
    For bookings made online, payment will be taken at the time of booking.
    For bookings made over the phone or by email, the full balance amount is payable on arrival at check-in time.
    Please note that we reserve the right to make charges for any damages or breakages found before the room is occupied again.

    Parking
    There are 6 parking spaces directly in front of the Pengwern, these are for our guests on a first come first served basis.
    If these spaces are full there is ample free on street parking around the square and on nearby streets, plus a council car park within 50 meters of the Pengwern which is also free to use.

    Extending your Stay
    After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (depending on availability) by simply letting us know before you arrive.
    If you are already staying with us and you would like to stay longer, please let us know as soon as possible before your check- out date. We will do our best to accommodate you and this can include relocating you to a similar room if necessary.

    Child Policy
    Children of any age are welcome. Children aged 0-3 years stay for free.
    Cots are available free of charge, subject to availability.
    Extra beds are available in twin and family rooms for children aged 4-16. Each additional guest is subject to a £15/night charge. Please note this is subject to availability and prior arrangement.

    Smoking
    Smoking on the premises is strictly prohibited other than in the designated smoking shelter outside, where ash trays are provided. Should it be found that guest/s have smoked in their room or any other parts of the property we reserve the right to charge a £250 fee for fumigation services. Please do not smoke at any time in any part of the property.

    Alcohol Policy
    We can’t allow any alcohol to be brought onto the property and require all alcoholic beverages be purchased through the bar. All guests must be 18 years or older to purchase alcohol, a valid photo ID will be required.

    Covid-19 Policy
    We do not require that masks be worn inside the building, but please be mindful when in crowded spaces.
    Hand sanitiser is available at the property for guests to use
    Room refreshes will only be offered if a “Please clean my room” sign is left on the door handle.

    Guest Safety Policy
    As part of our commitment to guest safety, employees will not disclose the identity, room number or presence of a guest to anyone other than appropriate law enforcement. This includes the taking of or delivery of messages or indirect forwarding of phone calls. It is the responsibility of guests to communicate their presence and room number to any person they wish to receive calls or visits from. Safety cameras are used throughout the premises, and anyone on our property may be recorded.

    Complaints
    Any complaint about the booking service must be notified to the Pengwern in writing or by email as soon as possible. Any complaint must be brought to the attention of the manager on duty as early as possible during your stay and, if not resolved to your satisfaction, should be notified to the Hotel Manager.
